About the Women's Board
The Women’s Board is an organization of enthusiastic individuals working together to help promote and support Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens. Founded in 1984 by a few dedicated women, today the auxiliary Board is comprised of over 250 members.
This dynamic group has evolved into a vibrant philanthropic organization that is actively engaged in volunteerism and fundraising for Conservatory programs. In 2019, the Women's Board was named the Outstanding Volunteer Fundraising Group by the Central Ohio chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals.
Once a year, the Women’s Board hosts an unparalleled and successful signature fundraising event – Field to Table – an al fresco culinary celebration of Ohio’s bountiful harvest. Proceeds from Field to Table support the Conservatory’s many education and outreach programs that benefit from the Board’s volunteerism and involvement. These programs include but are not limited to Growing to Green, Teen Corps, Girl Scouts, and more.
Regular meetings of the entire Board and committees take place throughout the year, along with other activities to support the Conservatory and build fellowship among Women’s Board members. These include member-planned trips to gardens, parks and arboreta; special culinary programs; hands-on volunteer days and more.
